Motorpsychos

As a newlywed, you are prone to receiving all sorts of advice from all sorts of people who range from being successful in life to miserable failures. One of the most common phrases you will hear is "the most common problems in marriages center around finances, sex and children." That's sound advice and I am confident that I will avoid issue in these critical areas.

Unfortunately, the problem area that I foresee for Neil and me is not cliché. It involves the other woman in our relationship. Neil's Suzuki GS500e (or something like that). It's a dang motorcycle.

I was not raised with motorcycles in my life, which cannot be said for Neil. Thus his need to have one and keep living the "family tradition." I guess to avoid being seen as a failure to his parents (or more specifically, his Dad)? I don't know. I don't get it.

I know at some point in our marriage it's going to come down to the old adage of "me or her." Me or the bike. However, I'm not sure how well I'll fare in such a competition.
