Man of the House

The man of this house is my best friend. He may not like football or sports or dogs or being outside... but he loves ME. I gave him a day off from me and our insane basset hound by heading with Lola to my parents' house for their Superbowl party, leaving Neil and our Great Dane, Lucy to fend for themselves and enjoy the quiet.

Neil very generously donated his free day to fixing up my home office. I have the wonderful ability to work from home most days a week but have since been using my laptop on the couch. Neil selflessly gave me his mac, bought me a flat-screen monitor, new keyboard and speakers. He also painted the room a nice stoney beige color that we had picked out a few weeks ago. My new desk and new office chair and new bookcase all went back into the room and it's beautiful. He did such a great job and had it all done by the time I got home from my parents'. It just really made my day.

Anyway, my husband is the best. Just had to brag.
