How life has moved along

I can't believe Neil and I have already been married 1 year and 1 month. Time has flown by, and it's been great living in our house together as a young married couple. I'm really proud of the house we've built and am so excited for the chance to improve on other features.

Neil and I took a trip back to Savannah with my family. It was awesome to visit everyone again and to get away from the stresses of work. Savannah is one of my favorite places on this earth and I'm always so thankful when we have the opportunity to go back. This was a special visit because we got to be there to welcome my cousin Andrew home from Iraq. It was such a relief to get our arms around him and finally know that he's home safe and here to stay. What a great feeling!

Life has been good, if a little busy. I wish I got more sleep and I wish I had more time with Neil. Even though I see him every night after work, I'm usually so tired by that time that I crash on the couch and sleep through the rest of the night. Not always a good thing when you're a newlywed. :-)
